Construction of Khawaja Ghar Primary School

The Construction of Khawaja Ghar Primary School project was implemented in Chaghcharan District of Ghor Province with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Afghanistan. The project was designed as an education infrastructure intervention aimed at expanding access to appropriate learning facilities and improving the educational environment for school-age children in the targeted community. Under the project, one primary school building comprising 6 classrooms was constructed to provide suitable educational space for approximately 312 students, including both girls and boys. The intervention aimed to create a safe, functional, and accessible learning environment while strengthening the educational infrastructure available to the local community. Project activities included the construction of the school building and completion of the required works necessary to establish a functional primary education facility. The implementation focused on providing appropriate classroom spaces capable of accommodating students and supporting regular teaching and learning activities. The project was implemented from 1 November 2010 to 1 November 2011, with a reported project value of 105,000. Through the construction of the six-classroom school facility, the intervention contributed to increasing access to education, improving learning conditions, and providing approximately 312 girls and boys with a dedicated educational environment. Overall, the project represented an important investment in community-level education infrastructure. The construction of Khawaja Ghar Primary School strengthened local educational capacity and provided a sustainable learning facility for children in Chaghcharan District, Ghor Province, with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Afghanistan.
